Thats sounds correct! there are many more cases of user behavior and underlying user motivations, that could be understood by focussing on these aspects, such as cognitive science, ethnographic and telemetric studies.

What i was trying to highlight, was the connectedness of the internet and usage of multiple applications by the user, and their impact on safety of the enterprise and consumer applications. Making a case for design to impact more, by being the user’s advocate in highly technical decision making environments, which is not possible without understanding the many sides to it.
